What we’re about
Welcome to the Southwest Psychedelic Society
We are Kari and Andrea, co-hosts of the Southwest Psychedelic Society, and we’re deeply honored to welcome you into this sacred community. This is a space devoted to connection, education, and conscious exploration within the ever-evolving world of psychedelics—a gathering place for like-minded souls to learn, grow, and remember together.
Through virtual and in-person events, community gatherings, and immersive retreats, we create opportunities to celebrate the beauty of life, each other, and the greater mysteries of existence. With ceremony, shared intention, and embodied presence, we seek to elevate our lived experience and deepen our understanding of self, spirit, and healing.
At the heart of our work is a reverence for the transformative potential of entheogens. We hold sacred the process of integration—weaving the insights and healing from psychedelic experiences into the fabric of daily life. Our vision is to nurture a supportive, inclusive environment where curiosity is welcomed, healing is honored, and community thrives.
Whether you're just beginning your journey with psychedelics or have been walking this path for many years, we’re grateful to walk beside you.

See all- An Introduction to Serving Hapé – A Call to ApprenticeshipSozo Healing House: Yoga Room, Tempe, AZ
The MedicineWay.org is honored to open the circle for those called to walk in sacred service with Hapé (Rapé), the sacred tobacco snuff used ceremonially throughout the Amazon basin for grounding, clearing, and connecting to spirit.
This 90-minute introductory experience is designed for individuals feeling the sincere call to apprentice in the ways of serving Hapé—to learn not only technique, but to honor the spiritual responsibility that comes with this role.
We’ll explore the cultural origins and ceremonial significance of Hapé, guidance around creating safe and intentional space, and the energetic hygiene required of a carrier and server of this medicine. Participants will receive instruction in various serving techniques, practice serving one another in sacred reciprocity, and have the opportunity to engage with tools, kuripes and tepis, that will be available for purchase or practice.
This gathering also serves as a gateway into a deeper apprenticeship for those who wish to continue learning. Apprenticeship includes a minimum 6 month commitment of study, ceremony, and service, with ongoing opportunities to support The Medicine Way’s community offerings.
