Honoring Loss • Releasing with Care • Remembering with Intention

Saturday, February 21, 2026
4:00–7:00 PM
East Mesa (exact location shared after registration)
Limited to 10 participants

Grief is not something to rush, fix, or move past.
It asks to be witnessed, honored, and held with care.

This Grieving Ceremony is a sacred, trauma-informed gathering for those carrying loss—whether of a loved one, a relationship, a place, a season of life, identity, health, or something unnamed yet deeply felt. Together, we will create a respectful and intentional container where grief can be expressed, transformed, and gently tended through ritual, reflection, and community.

What to Expect
Opening the Sacred Container
We begin by grounding together, setting intentions, and establishing shared agreements to support emotional safety, presence, and respect.
Altar & Symbol of Loss
Participants are invited to bring a personal item that represents their loss. Loss may include people, places, relationships, roles, dreams, or life transitions.
Letter Writing & Gentle Art-Making
Guided reflection through writing and/or intuitive, non-judgmental art to help give grief form beyond words.
Despacho Ceremony
A Despacho is a traditional Andean gratitude and release ritual in which symbolic offerings are intentionally assembled to honor what has been, express gratitude, and release what is ready to be transformed. This practice will be gently guided; no prior experience is needed.
Medicine Bundle & Fire Circle
Our individual and collective work will be woven into a medicine bundle and offered to the fire, symbolizing release, prayer, and transformation.
Deep Sharing Circle
A facilitated circle for reflection and witnessing. Sharing is always invitational; listening is equally honored.
Closing & Integration
We close with grounding practices to support integration and gentle re-entry.
Nourishment
Gentle nourishment will be available throughout the event, including hot tea, water, fruit, and vegetables.
