### The Roots of Perception, Inner Child Work & New Beginnings

(East — dawn, spring, early development, perception)

The East is the place of dawn—where light first returns and new understanding becomes possible. In many Indigenous traditions, this direction is associated with beginnings, clarity, and the way we learn to see the world. Psychologically, it reflects early development—how perception, attachment, and self-trust are formed and carried forward through life.

In this Talking Circle, we explore the roots of perception—how early childhood experiences, attachment patterns, and inner child dynamics shape the way we relate to ourselves, others, and the world. We’ll also reflect on how non-ordinary states of consciousness—moments of deep insight, intuition, dreamlike awareness, or embodied knowing—often bring these early patterns into awareness, offering opportunities for repair and growth.

In this circle, we’ll explore:

  • How early childhood experiences shape perception and self-trust
  • Attachment styles and their influence on relationships and inner life
  • Inner child work as a path toward clarity and safety
  • Discernment versus projection, fantasy, or inherited belief
  • Indigenous teachings on clear seeing and right relationship

This gathering invites gentleness, curiosity, and compassion as we meet new beginnings—not only in our outer lives, but within the parts of ourselves that are still learning how to feel safe, seen, and oriented in the world.

Donation-based. All are welcome!
Come sit with us at first light—tending clarity, compassion, and the wisdom that grows when we understand where we began.
