Talking Circle: Learning Through Relationship
Details
### Emotional Growth, Conflict & the Medicine of Experience
(South — summer, adolescence, relationship, emotional development)
The South is associated with warmth, movement, and relationship. In many Indigenous teachings, this direction reflects adolescence and early adulthood—a time when we learn not through theory, but through lived experience. Psychologically, it mirrors emotional development, attachment in action, and the ways we come to understand ourselves through connection with others.
In this Talking Circle, we explore relationship as one of our greatest teachers. Emotional triggers, conflict, and relational challenges are not signs of failure—they are often invitations into growth. When met with awareness and support, they reveal where parts of us are still seeking safety, connection, or expression.
We will also reflect on how non-ordinary states of consciousness—such as embodied awareness, intuitive insight, altered perception, or deep presence—can help us gently access disregulated or younger parts of ourselves, offering wisdom about what is asking to heal and mature.
✨ In this circle, we’ll explore:
- Emotional triggers as signals for personal growth
- Conflict as a natural and healthy part of relationship
- Attachment patterns as lived, relational experience
- Using non-ordinary states to access insight and emotional wisdom
- Moving from reaction to responsibility with compassion
This gathering offers a grounded, supportive space to reflect on emotional life with honesty and care—honoring growth not as perfection, but as learning through relationship.
Donation-based. All are welcome.
Come sit with us in the warmth of the South, where connection becomes teacher and emotional experience becomes medicine.
