### 🔥 Talking Circle: Sacred Anger

### Boundaries, Protection & the Wisdom of Emotional Fire

📍 Pyle Adult Recreation Center – Tempe, AZ
🗓️ Wednesday, June 3, 2026 | 6:00–7:30 PM

Anger is often misunderstood. Many of us were taught to fear it, suppress it, or only express it through harm and conflict. Yet in many Indigenous traditions, fire is not seen as “bad”—it is medicine. Fire protects. Fire transforms. Fire clears what no longer serves.

In this Talking Circle, we explore anger not as something to avoid, but as a messenger. From a psychological perspective, anger can reveal unmet needs, violated boundaries, grief, fear, or the parts of ourselves asking to be protected. When approached consciously, anger can become a source of clarity, courage, and transformation rather than destruction.

We will also gently reflect on how non-ordinary states of consciousness—through deep presence, altered awareness, or expanded perception—can help uncover suppressed emotion, soften shame around anger, and reconnect us to the deeper wisdom beneath reactivity.

✨ In this circle, we’ll explore:

  • Anger as information rather than failure
  • Emotional fire as protection, boundary, and transformation
  • The nervous system and the physiology of anger
  • The relationship between grief, fear, and rage
  • Healthy expression versus suppression or explosion
  • Reclaiming anger as a source of wisdom and self-respect

This gathering offers a grounded and compassionate space to reflect on the role of anger in healing, relationship, and personal growth—honoring emotional fire as something that can illuminate rather than destroy.

Donation-based. All are welcome.

Come sit with us around the fire—where emotion becomes insight, boundaries become clarity, and anger is met with honesty and care. 🔥
