Hike the Palos Orange Loop, ~ 4 or ~5.5
Details
This is the Wolf Road Woods orange loop, 5.5 very nice but surprisingly challenging miles - wooded, mostly unpaved with many hills, some steep but brief. This is NOT for beginning hikers. We don't hike especially fast, but you'll need to be able to keep up due to many turns. I recommend bringing water and maybe trek poles (I'll bring extras).
I will probably cut off about 1.5 miles of the (most challenging) west end using the black and yellow trails. Ideally we'll have a second leader who knows the area so we can split the group if people want to do both (or other) options. Let me know if you're willing to help lead this.
Since this hike has many twists and turns and is more challenging, I'm limiting it to 12 people, first come first served. Please be considerate and update your RSVP if your plans change to allow someone to take your spot.
Meet in the Saganashkee Slough central parking lot, NOT the Wolf Road Woods parking lot where we sometimes meet. It is also NOT the boat lauch parking lot, they aren't connected so make sure you pick the right one.
