Hike the Orland Grasslands, a paved, fairly flat, 5-mile Loop.

I apologize for the late announcement of this hike. The forecast had called for rain, but it looks like we'll have sun on Thursday afternoon.

The weather on Thursday is expected to be sunny, in the low-70s with modest wind. This sounds like a nice day for a hike.

This easy, flat, paved, 5-mile loop runs through prairie, but has a few wooded areas too. If you prefer a shorter hike, there's a cut-off to make it a bit shorter, but it is apt to be muddy due to the recent rains.

The parking lot is on the south side of 167th St., just west of LaGrange Road.

I would recommend bringing some sunblock, perhaps a hat too, and water.
