Hike the Lemont Quarries from downtown Lemont, 4 to 5 miles

Another group favorite. We’ll hike to, around and back from the Lemont Heritage Quarries via a portion of the I&M Canal Trail starting in downtown Lemont. Along the way we can learn about the history of this interesting area and check out what's happening next door at Lemont's new adventure park, The Forge, www.forgeparks.com. About 4 or 5 miles on a flat, easy, mostly wooded and interesting path.
