Hike Hickory Creek Preserve, LaPorte Road Access, in Mokena, IL, about 4 Miles

The weather on Tuesday morning is forecast to be about 40 degrees and overcast, but at least the wind is expected to be low, so it should be a nice day for a hike. We'll go south on the path to the Frankfort Township offices, about 2 miles, then turn around. If it is dry in the woods, perhaps we'll take a side path back for part of the return trip.
This is the LaPorte Road access to the Hickory Creek Preserve, NOT Hickory Creek Junction, where we more frequently hike, so be sure to check the map if you haven't been there. Access is to the eastern segment of the Hickory Creek Bikeway.
