Sag Valley Hike from Horsetail Lake - Approx. 5 miles
Details
This should be a nice, pretty walk, especially at this time of year.
We'll start at Horsetail Lake and then head east on the Yellow trail. After that, there are many options, but my preference is to continue to the purple trail, then back west on the yellow, UP the stairs, and back, probably around 5 miles. But there are other options.
This is, as I've said, a great scenic hike with a couple of manageable hills, always a crowd pleaser. You'll need to be able to climb up the 124 stairs at Swallow Cliff or take another route around. The western staircase is easier to climb with more even steps.
This hike is weather-dependent as usual. If it's especially slippery or muddy, I'll offer an alternative or postpone it.
