This group (Yearly membership £5) was started for experienced walkers who like the challenge of what can sometimes be difficult terrain, and who understand and accept the risks involved with walking on often uneven, wet and slippery muddy or gravel paths, with steep accents and descents, across fells and through valleys, fields with livestock, where there could be animal burrow holes, with stiles & gates to navigate.
By joining this group you accept these risks solely as yours by signing up for and attending our Meetup events.
As an experienced Adult walker over 18 years old, you should attend events suitably prepared for the planned walk as given in the hosts walk details. This includes suitable walking boots/shoes and clothing for all conditions, especially on the mountains in Wales étc where we may be miles from any shelter, and food and water for the duration of the walk, taking into account the weather conditions on the day. (The host reserves the right to not accept you on a walk if they feel you are not prepared or likely to put yourself in danger, or slow walk progress to the detriment of others safety and enjoyment on the walk.)
You accept that the event hosts do so on a voluntary basis, are experienced walkers, but do not hold a Mountain Leader qualification.
Weather - If they feel the walk is able to proceed, even with some heavy rain or wind, they will inform the members of the weather as far as is reasonably practical, as weather can rapidly change at times. This allows members to choose to participate knowing the risks involved, or change their RSVP to Not Going.
(By RSVPing to any events, you turning up, and starting the event, you accept that walking has risks involved, and accept these as your responsibility).
