We made our decision early to stay with Heylo, since we can point to other sites there (and do) where we keep more hike information and documents. Heylo has almost all the features of Meetup, has instant App messaging including private between members, and costs $2/year to you and maybe $2/member to the club. You can keep commenting here, but we also have Chat Forums on Heylo to post your comments and critiques, where we can actually forward them to the Heylo developers and get responses!

If you are current on PA and dues, it will take 5 minutes, and if not then you'll need to update the PA, but dues get billed by Heylo now. We have had a concern by some that they want your CC info up front to store securely, but they won't charge until your due date. You can read their encryption and partnership with Stripe payment system online there, once you are a member and before you give CC info.
