What we’re about

Connecting people in South West London...and Beyond!

Welcome to The Future. As technology continues to advance the way we interact has changed. However, are we turning into pixelated avatars lost in virtual worlds? Studies have shown that people constantly 'connected' are starting to find their online lives hollow, unsatisfying and actually stressful. They want to return to the real -- face to face interaction, sharing of experiences and feeling real emotions. They want to re-engage with the authentic human experience.

Are you the kind of person that wants more, demands more and expects more from life? Are the kind of person that is willing to take personal responsibility and put the effort in to make a change in your life? If so this group is for you.

We are based in South West London but we host events throughout London. Cool events for cool people, where you can participate in genuine and fun activities, and make real and meaningful connections. Rather than random events and aloof encounters, where you remain anonymous, we want there to be more involvement in this group --  it's not about us, we want this group to be about YOU.

We want to build a sense of community here so we are looking for genuine people with a generosity of spirit -- not transients, people with apathy or those who are only looking out for their own self-interest. As such we require applicants to answer 3 simple questions and to put on a real photo of themselves on their profile.

We hope you'll have a good time...

GROUP RULES

1) Be nice.

2) 3 Strikes and you're out. We go out of our way to organise and host events, so be respectful. If you RSVP for an event and fail to attend this will constitute as one strike. If you withdraw your RSVP less than 24 hours before the start of an event this constitute as a strike. If you accumulate 3 strikes you will be removed from the group.

3) If you have not attended at least one event or have remained inactive for 6 months your membership will be rescinded.

4) We will supply the address, map and if necessary directions to venues. We trust members will be competent enough to arrive at venues on their own.

5) Any changes to events will be announced as soon as is humanly possible. It is advised that members check the website and their e-mail prior to an event.

6) We will be unable to answer questions and respond to comments on the events page once an event has started.

7) We regrettably reserve the right to refuse non-members who attempt to gatecrash our events (of course not including sanctioned guests of members).

8) The forums and mailing list are for group use. They may not be used to advertise products and services or other groups and events.

9) The forum and mailing list are public, so discretion is advised when posting.
