If you're an industrial designer, fashion and soft goods designer or artist then laser cutting can be a game changer to the way you make.
Learn all the main operational procedures and get hands on experience with the Epilog laser cutter to carry out cutting and engraving procedures on a wide range of materials. Once completed you get DIY access to Space Tank’s laser cutter at half of what industry normally charges.
Cost $310 – TIME: 6pm to 9pm

Important prerequisite: You must have a working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator to attend this course.
This laser cutting course is perfect for designers, artists, niche manufacturers & jewellery makers.
Some things to bring:
A note book and your lap top and/or USB stick.
An image and typical material you want to work with.
Prepare a typical vector path or raster image (grey scale pixels) that you intend working with in Illustrator format.
To ensure everyone has time to practice, please make your file no larger than 100mm x 100mm
Materials our laser cutter can cut:
Perspex (please do not buy from Bunnings!) Wood (between 1 to 5mm thick) MDF (up to 10mm but preferably thinner) Cardboard (matt board, book covers) Leather, Nylon, canvas most textiles.
For Engraving:

Anodized metals
Glass
We will supply sample files and materials if you don’t manage to bring these yourself.
