**You do not need to be familiar with Warhammer Fantasy at all - in fact, this is a great place to start and get a taste of the setting!

This is a very flexible adventure - what your characters choose do to and explore will shift the plot and tone of the story. But it's also not an adventure that waits for you - NPCs have their own plans and goals, and things will keep happening in the background as you investigate!**

ABOUT THE ADVENTURE
You've recieved a rather unexpected letter in the mail. A noble of your acquaintance, Elise von Fürstenrecht, has passed away, and the funeral will be held soon. Was she a distant relative, a timely ally, a prior employer, perhaps even an old flame? None of that matters now - what does matter is that there's decent odds you may be in her will, and you want to get a piece of that generous estate.

ABOUT THE SYSTEM
Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (WFRP) takes you back to the Old World. Get the gang together, create your (anti)heroes, and set off to make your way through the vile corruption, scheming plotters and terrifying creatures intent on destruction. Prepare yourself for the struggle of the gutter, to fight for your survival, and to face corruption on all sides. Prepare yourself for danger, as lethal threats are everywhere, and you can’t face them alone. And, most of all, prepare yourself for the grim and perilous adventure of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay!

Warhammer Fantasy uses a d100 percentile system (roll under the target number) giving you a quick pass/fail answer to Simple Tests. Dramatic and Opposed Tests allow you to test the degree of your success or failure, and compare that to an opponent to see which of you is victorious and by how much.
