Bull Creek Cemetery Hike ( 5 miles )

Details
TheyHIKE LEADER: Gary W. 248 943 5240 (cell)
DETAILS:
There are over 23,000 acres in Herky Huffman/Bull Creek WMA preserve, but you won't know that unless you are camping there, hunting, or on the Florida Scenic Trail.
We will start out on the Florida trail, and then break out towards the old Bull Creek cemetery. So be prepared to meet ghosts and goblins on this special hike. Our total hiking distance will be about 5 miles, over 40% under open sunshine. So don't forget to bring hydration, sunscreen, insect repellent, PPE, and snacks.
The trail head for our hike is not visible from 192, and so it is difficult to find if you are unfamiliar with this venue. Consequently, we will be meeting at Sam's Club in Melbourne on US-192 at 8:30AM and carpooling out to Bull Creek.
You can find us at the northwest corner of the huge Sam's Club parking lot. I will be standing next to a green Subaru Outback. We should be arriving at the trail head about 9:10 AM. We will be parking on an unmarked grassy knoll off of US-192 on the extreme northeast corner of the preserve. It is at the levee 73 dike. If you wish to drive out there yourself, plug these two numbers in your GPS:
28.116917, -80.932467 ( about 2.5 miles west of the intersection of Deer Park Road and 192 )
Otherwise, see you at Sam's Club on Wednesday April 30th.
NOTE: Spring wild turkey hunting season has ended earlier this week!
