Backpacking Charles H. Bronson SF~9.2 Miles (Great for Beginners)

Details
This is a follow-up event to my Backpacking 101 that is scheduled for Saturday, December 6 - Sunday, December 7 & Backpacking 201 that is scheduled for Friday, January 16 - Sunday, January 18.
All are welcome to attend and encouraged! However, since this trip is geared toward beginners, we will only be hiking ~3.2 miles on Saturday to the campsite and then ~6 miles back to our cars on Sunday for a total of ~9.2 miles.
Please Note: All people who sign up will be put on an immediate wait list. Priority will be given to folks who have attended one of my previous 101 or 201 events.
The Details:
• We will be meeting at the Phillips Road Trailhead in Charles H. Bronson State Forest at 9:30 A.M.
• I was able to obtain a backcountry permit. There is a $18.70 charge camping fee that we will split among the people going. You will also need to pay an additional $2.00/day entrance fee (to be paid online to the Forest Service prior to arrival or on the day of the event electronically from your phone.)
• Please Note: This is a backpacking event! Meaning that you will need to have all of the appropriate gear and the ability to carry everything that you need in your own pack. This includes all of your overnight gear and enough food and water for both Saturday and Sunday. Make sure to pack snacks and or lunch for Sunday as we will be stopping half way to eat before returning to the cars.
• We will be having a pack “shake-down” in the parking lot to make sure that everyone has the appropriate gear, food and water and that everyone’s pack is not too heavy.
• Once we set up camp, there will be an optional day hike for anyone interested.
