Event Change: This will only be one night now due to severe weather.
We will now meet at Bear Pond Trailhead at 10 AM on Saturday morning.
**This is a follow-up event to my Backpacking 101 & 201
The Details:
• We will be meeting at the Bear Pond trailhead at 10 AM. Please be on time as we will be doing our pack shake-downs and then driving (with the least amount of cars) to the trailhead where we will be starting our hike.
• Please Note: There is a $52.47 camping fee + $2.00/day entrance fee to be pain online to the forest service either ahead of time or on the day of from your cell phone.
• Please Note: This is a backpacking event. Meaning that you will need to have all of the appropriate gear and the ability to carry everything that you need in your own pack. This includes all of your overnight gear and enough food and water for both Saturday and Sunday.
• We will be having a pack “shake-down” in the parking lot to make sure that everyone has the appropriate gear, food and water and that everyone’s pack is not too heavy.
