Spades in Sandy Springs-ish

Picture it: September 15, 2023. I took a leap of faith and decided to start my own Spades Meetup group. I had no cards, no location, and no members.
I went from restaurant to restaurant asking if we could host a Spades game, and all I heard was “no” — about 20 times. But giving up isn’t in my nature, so I knew I had to think differently.
Finally, I walked into Hudson Grille Sandy Springs, and they said yes — with one condition: a spending quota. I explained that this was a brand-new group and I didn’t even know if anyone would show up. After some negotiation, they agreed to give us a chance. Our very first meetup was scheduled for September 29, 2023.
Fast forward to mid-2024, when I was told we wouldn’t be able to return. But today, I’m grateful and excited to announce that we’re going back to where it all started!
Please join me Friday, January 16th 8pm for our first meetup of the year at Hudson Grille Sandy Springs.
