I like your thoughts about taking the Meetup to the next level of cultural exchange.  I am currently participating in the Conversemos Program at Conexion Americas in their summer session.  If there is interest from our group to "do more".. this is something I am interested in participating in. You are correct, this organization's facility is fabulous!

Thank you again for all your time you put into this group.  I had no idea it has been in existence for seven years.

I think it is time for Spanish Meetup to get more involved in the Latino community.  We have been meeting for over seven years now, and the majority of what we do (um, eating and talking) is for no one's benefit but our own.  Nothing wrong with that, but I think we can do better.  So, this morning I went to Casa Azafrán/Conexión Américas for their "Common Grounds"** get-together and took a tour of their beautiful new place and listened to what they had to say about the use of their space, all the activities that take place there, and their own increasing involvement in the community.  I am attaching some info for you to look at, including a link to Conexión's "Conversemos" program.  (There is always a wait list for Spanish speakers because they are always needing more English speakers.)  In addition to individual stuff, I think we could probably get involved as a group as well.  Please let me know what you think.
¡Mil gracias!
** Common Grounds is every other month, 8-9 a.m. Get on Conexión's email list to be notified, go out there, and take the tour!
