Real-World Travel Spanish: Role-Plays for Real-Life Scenarios
Details
⚠️ Quick heads up: We’re keeping this circle strictly capped at 6 people so nobody gets lost in the crowd and everyone actually gets real time to speak.
If you’re traveling to Colombia, Spain, Mexico, or anywhere in Latin America anytime soon, you probably already know that textbook Spanish doesn’t sound like real-world Spanish. Asking for a coffee in Bogotá isn't quite the same as asking for one in Madrid or Buenos Aires, and dealing with a taxi driver or the airport desk can get stressful fast.
This Tuesday, we’re cutting out the grammar drills and jumping straight into real-life practice.
What we'll do during this hour:
- ✈️ Real-world travel role-plays: Ordering street food and drinks, sorting out hotel check-ins, asking for directions when you're lost, and handling airport moments.
- 🗣️ Local slang & differences: How to ask for things in Colombia vs. Spain vs. Argentina without sounding lost or awkward.
- 🎯 Everyday phrasing: The natural shortcuts locals actually use every day (and which stiff textbook phrases to leave behind).
- 💡 Friendly teacher support: Certified native teachers will be in the room to keep things flowing, back you up when you're searching for a word, and share natural pronunciation tips on the spot.
How the session looks:
- 7:00 PM – 7:10 PM: Say hi, break the ice, and share where you're heading next.
- 7:10 PM – 7:45 PM: The fun part—casual travel scenarios and small-group role-plays.
- 7:45 PM – 8:00 PM: Travel cheat-sheet wrap up: essential local phrases and open questions.
What to have ready:
- A comfortable space to chat.
- Your favorite drink or snack.
- An open mind ready to jump into fun scenarios—all conversational levels are welcome!
Note: Your private access link pops up right here on the event page as soon as you confirm your RSVP and reserve your spot.
