Spanish through Song (for Kids) with Ximena Abarca

Details

Spanish through Song is a workshop created to help kids learn Spanish through music in a fun and playful way. Using original songs, the workshop will teach children vocabulary as well as rhythm, team work and confidence. For children aged 5-12. Parents are encouraged to participate (at no cost).

Ximena Abarca is a Chilean/Australian singer-songwriter whose career took off in 2003 when she won a TV singer’s contest in Chile. Since then she hasn’t stopped playing and recording. One of the highlights in her career was to be the voice over for Hi- 5 Latin America, as Kimmy, transmitted through Discovery Channel. Over the years her style has evolved from pop to world fusion sounds. Moving from Chile to Australia led her to bring to her music her roots and nostalgia of a faraway land.
