Spanish with Ed – Beginners Class

Build confidence speaking Spanish from day one
This session is part of Spanish with Ed—my personal approach to language learning focused on real-life communication, cultural understanding, and building your confidence.

If you’re a complete beginner, or someone who studied Spanish in the past but never felt confident speaking, I designed this class for you.
I’ll guide the session step by step in a relaxed, supportive environment, helping you start speaking Spanish from the very beginning. We'll focus on clear explanations and practical activities you can actually use outside the classroom.

This is not a language exchange and definitely not a grammar-heavy lecture. It’s about:

• building confidence
• understanding how Spanish actually works
• feeling comfortable expressing yourself

What we’ll focus on

• Essential Spanish for real-life situations
• Speaking from the very start (with zero pressure)
• Clear explanations in English when needed
• Cultural context to help Spanish make sense
• Confidence over perfection

Who this is for

• Complete beginners
• Learners returning to Spanish after a long break
• Anyone who wants a human, confidence-first approach
• No previous Spanish required.

Practical details

📍 Where: The Griffin, 31 Boar Lane, Leeds, LS1 5DA (City Centre) (Bonus: On your way into the class, make sure to stop at the bar, grab a beer, cider, or soft drink, and ask them to put it on the "Spanish class tab" so your first drink is on me!)

💷 Cost:

• £10 per session (Includes your free drink!)
• Pay in person on the day (cash or card)
