Circle Skirt Workshop: Draft & Sew Without a Pattern! (2-Sessions)

This workshop will give you the skills and confidence to make your own skirts without any pattern! Using only a little bit of math (calculators allowed!), you'll always know how to make a garment for whatever event, con, faire, or grocery store you find yourself going to!

Each participant will make a skirt that is a full circle (for the swoosh), with a ribbon-tie waistband (for adjustability and fit), and POCKETS (to carry your trinkets)!

This is a two-part workshop! Your ticket lists day one, but participants are expected to attend both sessions.

To do well in this workshop, participants should have at least a basic familiarity using a sewing machine.

This workshop will cover: measuring, planning, drafting, marking, cutting, and sewing - covering the entire journey from idea to finished garment.

Tools that will be used: Measuring tape, rulers, scissors, rotary cutters, clothes iron and/or steamer, chalk and fabric pens, sewing machine, and a lighter.

Session One will be focused on fabric preparation, measuring, drafting, and potentially cutting. Session Two will be focused on finishing the cutting, sewing, and finishing.
