Join guest instructor Pete Lazz to learn the very basics of leatherwork! With more than 30 years of experience, Pete owns Vidar Leatherworks, an esteemed local business that brings handcrafted and high-quality leather goods to markets and faires.
- This class will cover the following:
- Safety
- Hand tools and basic operation
- Dyes, quality, type, & selection of material
- Cutting leather
- Handsewing pieces
Learning will be hands-on, and you will make your own keyfob or other small item!
NOTE: You will be using tools and working with your hands in a shop environment. Choose clothing that you can move in and won’t mind getting a little messy, dress in layers for comfort, and be ready to tie back long hair.
