Explore the Detroit Riverwalk by Bike! Wheelhouse bike rentals or bring own.

Let's explore the beautiful Detroit Riverwalk this Sunday, while the weather is warm! This will be a leisurely paced bike ride, with stops to enjoy the scenery.
If you are meeting us from the Dequindre Cut parking lot, we will bike 2 miles down the Dequindre Cut Greenway path, to the Wheelhouse Detroit (restrooms and bike rentals available).
Then, from the Carousel area behind Wheelhouse Detroit, we will head to Hart Plaza, passing the Renaissance Center, and visit the Dodge Fountain, the MLK Sculpture, the Abraham Lincoln Sculpture, and the monument honoring Joe Louis.
We will then go the other direction to visit the Milliken State Park Lighthouse (bathrooms available), pass the Aretha Franklin Amphitheater, stop by the Atwater Beach Playground, have lunch/ beverages at Andrews on the Corner Bar (bring a bike lock to attach to the fence, see photo), check out the historical Lighthouse Depot, then head back along the Riverwalk.
This bike tour will be on paved paths. The total distance round trip will be about 9.5 miles, minus 4 miles if you aren't doing the Dequindre Cut.
