Oxford Speakers - 'Own the Room' a masterclass with Chris Boden

What do you do when you're the centre of attention? Being the MC, making a speech or just trying to get people to listen, we sometimes find ourselves trying to stand out in a space and aren't quite sure how to. In this experiential workshop Chris will explore some ways to use your voice, body and position to make sure that when you talk, people listen.

Explore the Oxford Town Hall (room) and see how to engage in an unusual space. Chris joined in 2007 and once people heard he was a Toastmaster he has been asked to MC family weddings, a friend’s wedding in French and English (even though he doesn’t speak a word of French) birthday parties, work events and even a Toastmasters comedy night.

He is a contest junkie and since 2011 he has made twelve District finals, in every contest discipline, and won three of them – International Speech, Table Topics and Evaluation; with various minor places too. In his spare time, he also does improv comedy.
