About us

This group brings together parents, caregivers, educators, service providers, transition specialists, advocates, and others interested in supporting students with disabilities through the transition years from middle school to young adulthood.

Our events include opportunities designed specifically for families, opportunities designed specifically for professionals, and gatherings that bring both groups together. Together, we explore topics such as IEPs, 504 Plans, transition planning, self-advocacy, executive functioning, social-emotional development, postsecondary preparation, employment, adult services, and community supports for students ages 12–22.

Whether you’re seeking support, a place to share stories and ask questions, an outlet for frustrations, professional collaboration, practical resources, or a chance to learn from different perspectives, you’ll find a welcoming and judgment-free community here. We believe that when families and professionals share, support, learn, and work collaboratively, students are better positioned to thrive in school, work, and life.

Facilitated by a special education professional, parent, and individual with disabilities, this group combines professional expertise with lived experience to provide practical guidance, meaningful discussion, and valuable connections.
