Board Games at Cleveland Park Library

It's Board Games Day!

Got the winter blahs? Post-holiday letdown? Sick of Christmas parties with your co-workers?

Then come to the Cleveland Park Library Saturday, January 11th, to enjoy quiet games and good company with your fellow Aspies! If you have a board game (or any other game), bring it to share if you like.

HOW TO FIND US
Located in beautiful Cleveland Park at 3310 Connecticut Ave. NW in Washington, DC just two blocks from the Cleveland Park Metro stop (on the Red Line), the library offers a large conference room on the second floor. Please enter the library and take the elevator or the stairs to the second floor. The conference room is the large one at the end of the second floor next to the balcony.

HOUSEKEEPING NOTES: Eating is not allowed, but covered drinks are welcome.

We Aspies can get passionate about topics. If a discussion gets loud, please take it outside the to the balcony. We don't want to get kicked out! Jan, thank you so much for finding this space for us!

Please put your smart phones away. We all need to be present and enjoy the board games and each other's company. If you need to take or make a call, please step outside onto the balcony.

I will also put my phone away as well. If you are running late or having trouble finding the place, please call me at 202-802-3238. Please do not text me or send messages on Meetup, as I will not see them after the event start time.

If there are service adjustments to the Metro, I will post them the week before the event.

HEALTH AND SAFETY: I will take a COVID test the day of the event and post the results on Meetup. If it comes back negative and I am well, I'll see you all there. If the test is positive and/or I'm sick, I'll stay home. The event will still happen.

Since this is wintertime, I will also track the weather. If the forecast calls for snow, sleet, or that nasty wintry mix, I'm cancelling the event.

We usually got out to eat afterwards. There are many restaurants nearby, and people get hungry after meetings. If you have other things to do, that's fine too.

NOTE: Due to library capacity, this event is capped at 20 people. If 20 people RSVP, I'll need to close RSVPs.
