Oktoberfest: Weiner Dogs, Beer, and Polka!

Let's kick off the fall with Oktoberfest at the Wharf! Whether you dig weiner dog races, beer, polka, or all of it, come enjoy the beautiful fall in our nation's capital!

HOW TO GET HERE

Waterfront Metro Station Green line
One block to Waterfront Metro: Head southeast on Maine Avenue SW, which turns into M Street SW. After one block, the domed entrance to the Metro will be on your left, near 4th Street SW.
L’Enfant Plaza Metro Station Blue, Orange, Silver, Green, Yellow lines
8-minute walk to L’Enfant Plaza Metro: Head north on 7th Street SW, turn right onto D St. SW, and the Metro will be on your right. You can also ride between The Wharf and L'Enfant Plaza Metro station on our free SW Shuttle. The SW Shuttle picks up passengers on 7th St SW at Maryland Ave SW.

NOTE: Driving is not recommended, as parking is expensive and difficult to find. DC is also hard to get around.

WHERE TO MEET: I will be standing at the Waterfront Metro between 1:30 and 2:00 PM. After 2 PM, we will be making our way to the event.

WEATHER

Please dress for the outdoors. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. If it rains or snows, I'm canceling the event.

SENSORY ISSUES

It may be crowded and noisy. There will be lots of walking and activities of various kinds. If you get overwhelmed easily or have mobility issues, you may wish to sit this one out.

COVID

I will take a COVID test the morning of the event. If I am sick or test positive, I will stay home. If I am well and test negative, I'll be there! The event will happen in either case.
