Step into worlds of imagination, possibility, and “what if?” with the Speculative Writing Book Club — a community for readers and writers who love exploring the edges of reality. We dive into books that bend genres and boundaries: science fiction, fantasy, magical realism, futurism, horror and everything speculative in between.
Each month, we choose a work that sparks discussion — whether it’s a classic that redefined the genre or a contemporary voice pushing it forward. Our meetups are casual, welcoming, and curiosity-driven. We explore not just the stories themselves, but the ideas behind them: worldbuilding, ethics, identity, technology, justice and the human condition through speculative lenses.
Expect conversations that wander from time travel paradoxes to social justice in speculative worlds, from dragons to data ethics — and maybe even a few writing prompts and fan theories along the way.
