Welcome! Are you a creator, publisher, editor, reviewer, or just plain lover of science fiction, fantasy, horror, slipstream, Afrofuturism, surrealism, or any other subgenre of speculative fiction? Then this is the group for you.
The Speculative Literature Foundation (SLF) promotes literary quality in speculative fiction, supports and mentors writers, makes grants, and serves as a hub of information of use to speculative fiction readers, writers, editors and publishers.
The Chicago Chapter of the SLF will grow the Chicagoland speculative fiction community, connecting writers and planning writing sprints. As we expand, we will provide professional development, panels, and Q&As (virtually until the end of Covid, and in conjunction with the San Francisco Bay Area SLF Chapter).
