Speech recognition Israel 4 - Wav2Letter & Echo supression

After a long break, in two weeks we are going to have our 4th Meetup! This time the meetup is going to be over zoom (link below) and will have two 30-minute lectures:

Assaf Mushkin - "Wav2Letter - Implementing an open source E2E ASR in Pytorch "

Assaf will walk us through the Wav2letter algorithm, an end-to-end ASR approach from Facebook, and he will tell us how much has changed since the original article published in 2016. He will also give some tips about Reviving open-source projects and about the project he did.

Amir Ivry - "Real-time residual echo suppression with deep learning"

Amir will tell us about a new solution to an old problem - residual echo suppression. He will talk about how his deep learning-based solution produces state-of-the-art results, while maintaining less than 50ms system delay and a compact neural network architecture. This system would be integrated into real-time communication platforms and would be published in a special issue of IEEE.
