Did you know
that a single cigarette butt can contaminate up to 1,000 liters of
groundwater? That it can release toxins in the water for up to 10 years?
For this reason, we want to collect as many cigarette butts as possible
along the Channel so that they don't end up in our river with the next
gust of wind and poison wildlife.
TIME: Mai 17th at 2:00 p.m.
MEETING POINT: U2 station SCHOTTENRING - next to the Otto Wagner Schützenhaus (U2 exit Herminengasse)
SCHEDULE: 2:00-4:00 p.m. Cleanup
Please take a container with you to collect cigarette butts (pickle jar , small bucket, can, plastic bag, etc.)
If
you have gloves or grabber at home, please take them with you,
otherwise you will get the equipment from us.
