FIELD TRIP- Box Hill hike

For a little change of scenery we're skipping the wall and going on a field trip for the day, so get those lunchboxes ready!

Just a 40 minute train away we can get to Box Hill where we can do a nice 8 mile (13k) circular hike taking around 6 hours. You'll need to bring a packed lunch and water with you (1-2 litres depending on the weather), along with wearing suitable footware. Personally I would suggest hiking boots but trainers should also be fine.

We can all meet at Clapham Junction train station at 09:15 and head off together for the 09:33 train, getting us into Box Hill & Westhumble for 10:11. Best to get an off-peak return ticket which is around £10 with a rail card. Depending on how everyone feels and timings we can pop to the pub before catching the train back.

The walk itself is pretty straight forward and mainly flat with a few short steep ascents and descents. Enough to make you feel like you've had a good walk without being too challenging. Anyone with bang average fitness should manage just fine!
