What we're about

spiel originates from the German word spielen, meaning “to play."

Why German? Because Germany is the origin of the games that spurred the golden age of board gaming (https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/nov/25/board-games-internet-playstation-xbox), and we want to share that phenomenon with you!

We are a group dedicated to the playing of modern board games and spreading the wonderful board gaming hobby. From strategic Euros (https://boardgamegeek.com/wiki/page/Eurogame) to thematic Ameritrash (https://boardgamegeek.com/wiki/page/Ameritrash), lighthearted party games and everything in between, we play a plethora of different games at varying skill levels. Come join us and help foster a community as we have a good time, playing good games with good people, in a fun and casual environment.

Summit Pierce County Library

Join us for a Saturday meetup at a substitute for one of our old gaming grounds. Feel free to bring your games and some snacks to share. Please make note that we had to use the Summit Branch in May since the South Hill meeting room was being used for a library event. It is on 112th Street just west of Canyon Road.
