Ride Name: Memorial Trailhead to Deep Lock

Distance: 23 miles round trip

Rating: Beginner, recreational speeds 11-13 mph.

Ride Type: out and back

Trail: Towpath; crushed limestone.

Restrooms: at Memorial Trailhead and along the route. Nice restrooms and fresh water at Hunt Farm trailhead.

Starting point: Memorial Parkway Trailhead. 499 Memorial Pkwy, Akron 44310.

Ride Description: We head north on the Towpath. We pass the following trailheads- Big Bend, Portage Path (statute of Native American carrying a canoe representing the northern terminus), Botzum, Ira, Hunt House, through a tunnel and finally Deep Lock Quarry. This is our turn around point. Hunt House has restrooms and fresh water so you may wish to stop there on the return ride.

HELMETS REQUIRED
Always bring water, spare tire, CO2 or air pump and a snack (if needed).
