This group is for empty nesters aged 50+ who live in the Cave Creek, AZ area. This group is perfect for individuals with plenty of energy who want to be part of a fun social group and are interested in participating in a wide variety of activities. With this group, we aim to make new friends while taking advantage of Arizona’s restaurants, outdoor activities, theater, sporting events, and any other enjoyable activities suggested by group members.
To create the best possible experience, please:
- Commit to being an active participant
- Submit event cancellations 24+ hours from the event.
- Event "No Shows" may result in removal from the group
- Be sure to have your Message setting turned ON, otherwise, I will not be able to communicate or confirm events.
- We welcome active members to share ideas for future outings.

We are excited to host this group's first event! We are all new, so what a fantastic opportunity to meet new friends.
The Creek Patio Grill is one of our favorite places in the area. They have reserved the outdoor patio off the back room. For $30 per will provide cocktail and appetizer buffet. We will give a head count guarantee by Saturday mid-morning.

If you are new the Patio Creek Grill, it is located in the plaza on the corner of Tatum and Dynamite. Once you enter let the hostess know that you have a private event with Janet on the outdoor patio.

This is an unguided 2-hour trip (5 miles) on the Lower Salt River. You need to book directly through Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch for the 9 am Salt River/Foxtail River Kayaking trip Kayaking & Paddle Boarding Salt River | Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch in Mesa AZ (saguarolakeranch.com). It is $60.59 plus tax and there are currently 6 available reservations. There is not group name, just available reservations. Please also register on this page so that we know who is attending
The trip leaves from Saguaro Lake Resort property and they pick up at a specific point on the river. Nick and I did this trip a couple of months ago with minimal kayaking experience. The weather is predicted to be quite cool with temps around 70 degrees.
Please note on their website that a 72-hour cancellation is required. They do allow non-rentals to launch from their property but do not provide pick-up. Please call Saguaro Lake Ranch if have any questions. 480 - 984-2194.
An onsite restroom to change out of wet clothing is available. Since there is no guide, the only optional tipping would be for the driver.
There are no restaurants nearby, so it would be nice if participants brought post-trip snacks to share and enjoy some conversation.
