All programs are open to the community—people of all faiths, including atheists, can participate and welcome members of the LGBTQ+ community.
The Spiritual Growth and Community Center is made possible through the generous support of the members and friends of the Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson.

Love is the doctrine of this church.
The quest for truth is its sacrament.
And service is its prayer.
This is our great covenant:
To dwell together in peace
To seek the truth in love
And to help one another
To the end that all souls shall grow
In harmony with the divine.

Shamanic Journey and Drumming Group
Unitarian church of Marlborough and Hudson, 80 Main Street, Hudson, MA, USThe monthly Shamanic Journey and Drumming group meets on the third Saturday of every month. No experience with shamanism, journeying, or drumming is required - just a curious and open heart!
Shamanic journeying is a powerful practice that anyone can learn and use. Working in the spirit realm teaches us true freedom and self-empowerment. There, we have access to other worlds. We connect with the energy that underlies the physical world. We also receive guidance from our spirit guides and ancestors. Moreover, we gain the ability to heal ourselves at the deepest level. As Sandra Ingerman says, journeying gives us access to “information and energies that can help awaken us and restore us to wholeness.”
Shamanic drumming is both a healing art and a catalyst for shamanic journeying. At our gatherings, we will explore both ways of working with rhythm. Participants are encouraged to bring a drum and/or rattle if they have one. Extra rhythm instruments will be available for those without.
If you’re new(er) to the group, and don’t have a drum or rattle, I encourage you to make one yourself from reclaimed material to bring on Saturday. Something as simple as lentils in a pill bottle for a rattle, or a plastic tub for a drum work really well for percussion purposes. Handmade tools are always the most magical!
Please note our new meeting time at 11:30 AM!1 attendee
Sunday Morning Meditation
Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson, 80 Main St, Hudson, MA, USWe invite you to join us in gathering to sit in peace on Sunday mornings. Whether you need a time of solace during a busy weekend, want to deepen your personal practice, or aim to join Sunday service with an uncluttered mind, you are welcome.
Meditation is a discipline that is integral to many spiritual traditions, religions, and secular mindfulness practices throughout the world and human history. Meditation comes in many forms, including as an act of prayer, accompanied by music, chanting, mantras, breathwork, or practiced simply in silence, and those who meditate regularly often find benefits of mental clarity and calmness from their practice. We will explore some of these variations on meditation and thoughtful contemplation during our meetings.
Sessions will begin at 9:15 in the Alice Hart Room, downstairs at UCMH, and will include 25 minutes of meditation. No experience is necessary to join. Suggested donation $5
Update: Upcoming meetings are TBD - while I am in studying in Yoga Teacher Training, my Sunday schedule is a little irregular. Please check the SGCC Events page for the most updated list upcoming Sunday Morning Meditations!
