Tibetan New Year Celebration in a Buddhist Centre

Dear friends,

Tomorrow is celebrated the Tibetan New Year and it is considered a very auspicious day.

So I would like to invite you all to the celebration of this day in:

The trip takes around 2h Via A6 by car. But I would recommend to go with maybe 3h in advance because of eventual traffic and to have enough time to park, check around and settle before you begin the celebrations. It is a beautiful place where authentic Dharma is taught and practised. I personally am a friend of the resident Lama, Lama Gyurme, and student of the Spiritual Director of the Centre Lama and other Lamas. This year I won't be present due to work contingencies but I have been there last year and it was a beautiful day spent with beautiful people where there was space for meditation, teachings, joint practice (recitation of prayers), circumambulation of the Stupa with incense offerings and an abundant and delicious lunch, that allowed for all the participants to come together and socialize around a happy table.

Program for tomorrow:

11h - Sangchö (smoke offering) with Tsok (feast ceremony) and Kora around the Stupa - to purify negative actions of the past year and accumulate merit and supportive circumstances, while making auspicious aspirations.

13h - Lunch and socializing

20h - Marme - The offering of light, symbol of wisdom (with butter lamps, oil lamps or candles). The merit of this action will be dedicated to the benefit of all beings, particularly needed in times of confusion and negativity.
