Tibetan classes - to read Tibetan Language (not to learn how to speak)

Dear members,

I am delighted to announce that
Lopön Tsering Gönpo will offer free tibetan classes for beginners on the following dates, from 13h to 14h30:
6, 13 september
11, 18 et 25 october
15, 29 november
13 et 20 décember

Maybe these classes make more sense for those that study Tibetan matters like Tibetan Buddhism, Tibetan Philosophy and alike.

If you wish to attend the classes, please join this group so you will receive instructions.

Here are some practical details about the Tibetan language classes that will begin this Saturday, September 6:

• We will use the Teams link above.
• Please DO NOT TURN ON your camera or microphone to avoid using too much bandwidth (internet).
• If you are using Teams for the first time, please log in at 12:45 p.m. We will be there to help you connect. Given the number of people online, we will not be able to help you connect after the class has started (1:00 p.m).
• From 1:00 p.m. onwards, please do not post any comments in the Telegram group, EXCEPT in the event of internet outages, so that we can respond more quickly. We will do our best to avoid technical issues. That said, we appreciate your understanding 🙏.

Regarding the organisation of the class:

• The objective is to learn to read and write the Tibetan alphabet.
• The characters will be written on the board (you can zoom in), Lopön Tsering Gönpo will recite the sounds, and we will then recite them (therefore it is important to mute your microphone 😅).
• To maintain the flow and rhythm of the course, it will not be possible to ask Khenpo questions during the course.
• Teams sessions will not be recorded, but short videos will be posted in this Telegram group so that you can practice each week. 🤗
