What we’re about
Spiritual Meeting is a gathering where people come together to explore their connection to themselves, each other, and the Greater Mystery, Life.
Through shared presence and spontaneous, heartfelt speech, they support one another in experiencing Love, Light, and a sense of being part of something vast and ungraspable, Being itself.
It is a gentle, open-ended space designed for practicing conscious presence—resting in the moment, speaking freely, and collectively opening to something larger than words or images.
Participants are invited to be fully present, accept things as they are, and let go of the need to control or understand everything.
HOW IT WORKS?
The practice of a Spiritual Meeting is beautifully simple, requiring no rituals or beliefs to follow. People gather to engage in a shared journey of being-with what is. Here’s how it unfolds:
- Settling into Presence: The meeting begins with participants relaxing, breathing, and allowing the mind’s chatter to quiet. There’s no rush—just a gentle invitation to start now, in this moment.
- Listening and Speaking from the Heart: Anyone may speak when words naturally arise, without force or expectation. Speech is viewed as an echo of something deeper, a reflection of the present experience rather than a performance.
- Meeting in Three Ways:
- Self-to-Self: Noticing one’s own sensations, feelings, and inner presence.
- Person-to-Person: Hearing and resonating with others in the group, fostering a sense of shared humanity.
- Human-to-Beyond: Sensing a larger presence—sometimes called Light, Love, Life, or simply That—which transcends the individual and connects all.
- Doing Nothing, Yet Everything Happens: There’s no agenda or set action. The core instruction is to simply be. Participants often feel touched, calmed, or inspired by the collective experience of meeting the Presence.
- Open to All: Everyone is welcome to join, coming as they are, without prerequisites. The group offers mutual courage and support, meeting each person at their own pace.
- A Growing Journey: Regular meetings allow this practice of being-with to deepen over time, transforming it into an ongoing exploration rather than a one-time event.
THE HEART OF EXPERIENCE
At its core, the Spiritual Meeting is to experience:
- Surrender and Acceptance: Participants let go of the urge to control, change, or fully grasp what unfolds. This surrender opens the door to a deeper way of being.
- Connection: The practice fosters a profound sense of relationship—a dance between self, others, and the Real or That which is beyond. It’s about being together in a way that transcends the everyday.
- Presence: Central to the meeting is the act of resting in the present moment, releasing distractions and the mind’s pull toward novelty. This focus anchors the experience in the here and now.
- Love and Courage: The space allows participants to experience Love—an elusive, ungraspable force—and requires courage to stay with whatever arises, even when it’s challenging or uncomfortable.
- The Beyond: The meeting points toward the Real beyond human understanding, Presence that is always with us. The goal is not to define it but to open up and receive it, sensing its subtle yet constant companionship.
WHY JOIN?
- Find connection and community: People seek a relational space where they are required for each other to exist. The meeting provides a strong communal experience and a supportive group of like-minded individuals with whom to share a collective journey of exploration and growth. The collective effort makes the immensity of the Infinite easier to bear.
- Embrace change and the unknown: The invitation is to stop resisting change and instead agree to be moved, to feel, to sense, to be alive. Attendees may be drawn to encounter the Infinite and to meet the Ungraspable and the Great Mystery. The meeting encourages participants to have the courage to step into the unknown and trust in a power greater than themselves.
- Let go of control and experience presence: Participants are encouraged to let go of the need to understand, control, hold and instead surrender and let go. The meeting offers a space to rest in Presence and focus on being with. This cultivates a profound sense of being in the moment, offering a break from the distractions of daily life.
- Move beyond dissatisfaction: The meeting addresses the feeling that something—or someone—seems to be missing. It encourages attendees to stop moving and striving, and simply be with the lack. By reaching out and accepting what is given, people can receive support and love from Life.
- Practice authentic expression: The meeting provides a judgment-free space for participants to express themselves freely. Voice and vulnerability are celebrated, and people are invited to let words emerge without filtering, which can lead to self-discovery and an authentic voice.
- Cultivate gratitude and love: The gatherings offer the chance to experience Love, Light and gratitude and a deeper appreciation for life. We express Thank You and gratitude for existence, resonating with those who desire a more positive outlook.
- Foster personal and collective growth: The meeting promise to engage in both individual and shared evolution, contributing to something larger. We evolve as a species and transcend limits. This could appeal to those interested in self-improvement and humanity's progress.

SUMMARY
Spiritual Meeting is a dedicated space and time for humanity to be gathered together to recognize the Great Mystery, honour its presence with us here and now, and collectively experience a sacred communion, being with.
The meeting is unstructured, unprogrammed, and open for us to face — and be moved by — the Spirit that flows freely, moving us and through us.
As people feel moved, sense a need, or desire, they may find themselves speaking — sharing what is emerging and how they are in the presence of the Truth.
We breathe and tune in, look and listen, see and hear; attentively and respectfully, kindly and gently, with an open heart, compassion, and curiosity; longing for connection and relationship with.
We receive carefully, let it in, and trace how we resonate, how waves of the Great Ocean move us and through us. We humbly recognise that each of us is alive, sensitive, vulnerable and limited, just a drop in the infinite ocean of Life, and there is so much we can’t understand or control.
We use words, metaphors, and poetic images to follow where they point to and to help each other feel, sense, and experience directly what is beyond — the Being: ineffable, indescribable, ungraspable, unimaginable, unknowable.
As we encounter and engage with each other, oneself, and the Real, we explore the field and what unfolds during our shared journey. We may be gifted with ruptures — inspiring, spontaneous, unpredictable, creative manifestations of the Divine, revealing how emptiness is — trembling with Light, Love, and Life.
Yes! Dwelling in. Living with.
The meeting — at the edge — may transform us, even if we can’t name what is changing, explain how experience affects us, or make sense. We let go of efforts to know or master, to predict or manage. We trust, surrender, and allow ourselves to depend on and be taken care of — to be guided, led, touched, held and carried — by Higher Power, a force greater than ourselves and beyond our abilities to understand or control.
The meeting facilitator supports — to the extent he is able — by recognising differences, accepting limits, acknowledging what is beyond (which is impossible to objectify and capture by words or images), following, and by desiring — especially, meeting and being with.
Thank You!
