Date and time: May 8, 2026. Start time 9:00 am.
Terrain: This is mostly a dirt path ride (single and double track). There will be some pavement connecting riders to the trails. Trails have some short sections with some larger rocks and loose surface. There are some short steep climbs and downhills.
Distance: Approximately 16 to 18 miles some group choices can vary the distance.
Duration: 3 hours
Pace: 7- 10 MPH
Description: This is a mostly offroad ride. It does not require advanced offroad skills, but it is not a ride for beginners. There are sections that will require skills more related to an intermediate mountain bike ride. (Dirt trail surface is more difficult than paved roads and it will fatigue you more and faster than you might experience on the pavement). This ride is considered a longer off-road ride. The ride starts at the Bowl and Pitcher parking lot with a short section of pavement before we hit the single track. Then we take the trails, with some road sections, down to 7-mile road, cross the river and connect up to the single track again. Then will head up 5-minute hill and take the single track and roads over to the Deep Creek observation area. We will return to Bowl and Pitcher (mostly by single track) on the west side of the Spokane River. You will not be able to ride this ride on a standard road bike. Gravel bikes or mountain bikes with tires 50 mm or wider will perform best. You will need to be comfortable riding some distance in dirt/gravel.
Re-group: This is a non-drop ride. Short re-groups as necessary with a longer stop at the Deep Creek Overlook.
