Team Thursday: Finch Arboretum to Cheney with Gravel

Start Time: Meet 8:45 for 9:00 AM rollout
Meeting Location/Address: Finch Arboretum S F St, Spokane, WA 99224
Distance: 46 miles
Pace: 13 – 15 on flats; slower on hills and gravel
Terrain: 70% paved; 30% gravel; no extreme hills; total elevation gain +/- 1800 ft.
Route Description: Typical start from Finch Arboretum onto the Fish Lake trail, but we’ll go left, not right at Scribner, onto gravel roads that don’t get a lot of car traffic. There's one short, steep hill at the beginning of the gravel, but otherwise the terrain is fairly flat. We'll be up close and personal with picturesque agricultural surroundings. We’ll leave the gravel behind when we come to Cheney-Spangle Rd about 3 miles SE of downtown Cheney. Grab a bite at the Mason Jar. Free and fair elections will determine the route back, but the link below has us coming along the Andrus route.
