Name: Medical Lake-Waukon-Edwall-Clear Lake Loop
Start: 8:45 AM for 9 AM rollout
Meet: Medical Lake WATERFRONT PARK:(from I-90 west take exit 272, follow directions for West 902, reducing speed as you come in to the Northside outskirts. Stay alert, near the Harvest Foods sign and Best Impressions Dental office, for Hwy #902 LEFT TURN onto Lefevre St.. Continue for about 1.5 miles, now going South, then curving West to see the entrance to Waterfront Park.
Pace: 13-15 mph on flats
Distance: Minimum 43 miles; 46 miles with the fair weather 'option' of adding on Clear Lake.
Terrain: Rolling with some moderate, slightly testy hills. Elevation gain <1500 ft.
Route: We will zig-zag our way into Lincoln County for a very short tour of Waukon, then over the hill to Edwall for a rest/snack break. Yes, it's uphill out of Edwall, but a 2.5 mile downhill follows. Waukon rd.-Moos/Drumheller takes us over to Malloy Prairie rd. for our return.
Regroups: Gray Rd., Waukon, Edwall, and back at #902 to decide yes/no for Clear Lake.
Estimated Duration: 4 hours+/-
Eat: NO STORES OR CAFES; Bring your snacks and plenty of water for the Edwall stop.
