🐍 SPUG Meetup: From Code to Container — Docker, GitHub Actions, and VPS Deployment
Join the Spokane Python User Group (SPUG) for a hands-on, beginner-friendly dive into taking a web project all the way from your local machine to a live server using Docker!
We’ll walk through:

• Building a Docker image for a Python web project (step-by-step, no prior Docker experience required)
• Automating the build and push process to the GitHub Container Registry using GitHub Actions
• Deploying your image to a VPS with Docker Compose so it’s up and running for the world to see

This session will be fun, interactive, and practical — we’ll work through real examples, share tips, and troubleshoot together. Whether you’re brand new to containers or looking to sharpen your DevOps skills, you’ll leave with the confidence (and the code) to spin up your own project in the cloud.
What to bring:

• A laptop if you’d like to follow along
• Your curiosity and questions

We’ll have time for open Q&A, networking with fellow Pythonistas, and maybe even a few Docker puns. 🐳
