Monthly Meetup: Intro to Rust and Python; Using Rustup, Cargo, and Rust!

Please join us for a joint event between Spokane Rust and Spokane Python where we'll help introduce and guide you towards creating your first Rust and Python projects.

We'll go over...

• Using Rustup to install and target Rust toolchains, what a toolchain is, and what it means to 'target' something

• The numerous tools offered offer by installing a Rust toolchain

• Creating a new 'hello-world' from scratch and commands used to include new dependencies, analyze, and reformat our projects

• And the difference between libraries and binaries in Rust and going over the structure of a typical Rust project

In addition, this will be a special two-fer where you can do the same using Python - ideal for anyone looking to start their next project in Rust and Python or is looking to diversify their programming skillset!

Rustaceans of all ages and skill-levels are encouraged to join, though this event will be aimed specifically at newcomers to software development.
