Kicking off the New Year, hanging out at Brown’s Lobster Pound. Brown’s doesn’t accept plastic or have a bar, so bring some cash and a small ice chest-BYOB. There’s an ATM on-site. Any extra Christmas cookies, snacks or unwanted holiday gifts? Bring appetizers or dessert to share.
We’ll also have a re-gift Yankee swap-new not used, wrapped gift valued at $15. Re-gift Yankee swap will be in the afternoon, after lunch. The doors open at 11 and there’s a rush to enter the large seating area to get tables.
Enjoy some fresh quality seafood, cooked the New England way. You must buy something from Brown’s, but it’s ok to bring appetizer snacks or desserts to share. After the swap we’ll play some card or board games-bring some games or playing cards. A popular game is Left, Right, Center, bring 3 one dollar bills to play. Popular desserts are candy and cookies.
This annual event, now at 11 years, Mary F has created and each year is amazing. Several meetup groups will be here. We’ll setup tablecloths on tables in the same area so we can be together. In the afternoon Mary is having a walk on Hampton Beach. If inclement weather conditions the hike will be cancelled, but the inside activities will not be cancelled.
