What we’re about

Spontaneous Speakers is a two hour class where you have the opportunity to practice your speaking skills with a supportive group of people.

What makes Spontaneous Speakers different from some public speaking groups is the fact that nothing is rehearsed or overly prepared and more often than not, we speak on the spot on any topic - a form of improv public speaking. This method trains the brain in confidence, creativity and flow state, triggering neuroplastic growth in the brain. All we need to do is get out of our own way and let the words flow from the subconscious mind!

Public speaking isn’t just about speaking out to a group of people in public. In every situation or scenario in life that involves another human being we need to be able to communicate well. Whether it is on a one to one basis with your family, friends, colleague or boss, or at a job interview, even negotiating a deal.

Being able to communicate effectively and build rapport no matter what situation in life, is what helps us all to develop, connect and move forward. In fact every time we open our mouths we are either selling ourselves, an idea or a viewpoint to the listener. Forget knowledge, qualifications and certificates, your confidence and flow when you speak is what seals the deal.

Speaking our truth is also a very important outlet for energy and creativity. We are energetic beings and with energy that comes in it must have an outlet otherwise it becomes stuck. In today’s society we are bombarded with so much input whether it be books, news, social media, movies, other people monopolising conversations - it’s all one way traffic. Without an output, all this energy can get stuck resulting in apathy, anxiety, low mood, anger, resentment. That’s why it’s super important to have an energy output and speaking your truth and being, seen, heard and understood helps that energy to flow. You walk away feeling better than when you arrived!

We look forward meeting you – your host Deborah.
