SUPPORT for EVERYDAY PEOPLE
“Our focus is not having a focus.”
Mental well-being is often overlooked. Join us for a comfortable, helpful discussion about what’s bothering you and how you’re dealing with it.
If you are going through a stressful situation but think it’s not serious enough for a “regular” support group, welcome to SfEP.
There is no formal structure to SfEP meetings, but a comfortable environment where anybody can get support, feedback, and discussion. Come to talk about what you’re dealing with and how you’re doing so, get out frustrations, and generally be around like-minded people, who are not licensed professionals but “average” folks who want to help.
This group is not part of another nor is it sponsored by anyone. It is for all of us, myself included.
For a little about me: My name is Rob and I'm dealing with various issues, such as Neuro-divergence, Depression, co-dependency, and a nervous system condition called hereditary spastic paraplegia, which causes me to move slowly and/or awkwardly and stumble on my words sometimes. I understand that people are not as open as me, but am letting you know that it’s OK if you want to be. It’s also fine if you’d rather sit there and observe. Just let us know.
Confidentiality will be practiced, but please know that this is not legally-binding. Anything said in the group should not leave it.
My main goal with this group is that nobody (including myself) leaves thinking their time has been wasted.
I will announce when 9pm has come along, but there will never be a
hard stop. If a meeting goes beyond that, so be it.
Come once, to every meeting, or somewhere in between. Whatever
works for you. And be present instead of looking elsewhere the whole time. You came for a reason. Please arrive by 7:20. Lateness is rude and annoying.
Lastly, be respectful of the people attending and the space in which we meet. Bonn Place is not affiliated with SfEP other than wonderfully providing a space for us. The brewery will be closed to the public and for sales of any kind, so this group will be the only thing happening in it.
I sincerely hope it helps. Cheers.
~Rob
PARKING
Until something with the parking authority gets figured out, please respect their rules. There is metered parking on Mechanic Street, which goes until 9pm and is $2.50 per hour. Free parking is available two blocks away on Columbia Street. Do not park in the lots across Mechanic Street from Bonn, as they are permit-only.

Every week on Monday until November 2, 2025
